Piano and Organ

We recently got a new piano. Well, it's a used piano but new to us. I have decided to teach piano lessons. Right now I have one student. Kimball even plays every once in a while. Katie loves our piano. She likes to take her frog up there and turn the pages (just like mom) and tell the frog what she is doing. She also likes to sing to her beautiful music. I'm sure that excitement won't last forever, but it's fun to see for now.

I have also been called as the organist in our ward. As some of you may know I don't actually play the organ. Well, I do now, but I didn't. Last week I played the organ in Sacrament Meeting last week for the first time. Kimball is great to watch Katie during Sacrament Meeting and the rest of church because I also play the piano in primary. What a busy 3 hours it is for all of us.

Keeping busy

Katie has really enjoyed the unpacking part of moving. We have found all sorts of new things. This is a... well I really don't know what it is except that it came from Portugal and it whistles when you whack something (or someone). We also found her magnet letters. I have been slowly pulling out new things she got for Christmas since we got back from Idaho. She seems to be bored with all of her toys.

This is a bag. I found her wandering around with it around her neck like this. It was hilarious. I'm amazed at what she does sometimes.

We had just gotten home from running errands and this stuff was right inside the door. I was making lunch when I realized I hadn't seen her in a few minutes. I thought maybe she was in her room. When I came around the corner I found her on this bin and she had put all of this stuff on it herself.

We are also practicing climbing in. The laundry basket also doubles as her baby stroller.

The Great Outdoors

Ah beautiful Idaho grass! Katie isn't so sure about it. But she loves the bubbles.

We got to stay in a cabin near Island Park for a night. It's so nice to be away from everything. Katie and dad are enjoying a walk in the woods. Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandkids.

Idaho Falls Zoo and other animals

I know I'm a little behind. During our trip to Idaho we got to go to the Idaho Falls Zoo. It's pretty small, but that's nice for Katie who really doesn't want to be at the zoo all day. We had a great time. Here she is with her 2 cousins. Loving that she gets to be with the girls.

She LOVED the petting zoo. There were only goats. All she wanted was to touch them. She's not afraid of a lot of things. I guess that's good and bad.

Uncle Ryan is helping the girls brush the goats.

At one point we saw a peacock just wandering around.

Just trying to be one of the girls.

Fun picture of Halle and Abbie.

Summer in Idaho

We spent a couple weeks in Idaho Falls during the 4th of July. It was beautiful! Here is a picture with the cousins having a rest from their running around.

We think Katie is going to be a tetherball player.

Here she is with Grandpa. We love their big backyard to run and play.

This is Katie and Nick. He is actually 3 months younger than her. She gave him a hug once and he wasn't sure what to do. It was cute.

Sneezing

Katie has this book about an elephant. At the end of the story the elephant sneezes. Every time we read the book she will sneeze through the whole story, except for the very last page. Apparently, it is my turn to sneeze and say "bless you". We add the "bless you" at the end because it's polite and of course she laughs every time. She has found that fake sneezing is just as fun as fake coughing especially when she needs a little more attention. She has mastered the art of both.

New House!!!

For those who don't know we have been trying to buy a house. 3 appraisals and 3 weeks past the close date and we have a house! We have the keys and everything. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths; a large great room and a large kitchen. We are excited to have enough space for our stuff finally. The house is in Queen Creek. A little far for Kimball, but it will work out. More pictures to come once we get in.

This is probably our favorite room in the house.
