More Swimming

We had a good time swimming at Christopher and Amy's house. Cousin Andrew let Katie use his crab floatie. She loved it. She even kicked her legs when we moved her around.

Rolling Over

Katie has started rolling over on purpose now. She has rolled over a couple of times this summer on accident (we think it was anyway). But the other day when we left the room and came back she was on her stomach. From then on she has been constantly rolling over to grab toys or look at something new. She has even decided that she needs to roll over in her bed in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, she has never been one to sleep on her stomach (not even on us). This usually wakes her up and she starts screaming in the middle of the night. She is learning to sleep on her stomach. We have been working on rolling back over, but that hasn't really taken effect yet.

4 Months Old

We have made it 4 months! She is so fun with her smiles and spontaneous laughter (really, she will just burst out laughing and then she's done). Here is a picture of her and her cousin Nick who is 5 weeks old in this picture. Katie has just turned 4 months. You may notice they are just about the same height. We thought it was pretty funny.

Fruits and Vegetables

Gardens are in full bloom in Idaho right now. During our visit Kimball and I went to a neighbor's house and pick cherries for the guys' annual camp out.

Zucchini! Everyone seems to have enough to share. Somehow we had 6 large zucchini at my parents house. So, we decided to make bread. My parents food processor is so loud I had to use ear protection so I could stand to process all of them. :)

Fun times in Idaho

We were in Idaho recently to visit family. While we were there Grandma taught her some fun tricks. Squealing (which she now does at church), sitting up, throwing toys on the floor, and moving in a walker.

Life seems a little boring for her now that we are home. We don't have as many toys as Grandma and there aren't as many people around to give her their undivided attention.

Splashing in the Tub

She was feeling kicky before her bath the other day. Her feet hoover above the water and she just taps them down. She seems to really enjoy the water either swimming or bathing. I have a hard time getting her to lean back and relax because she is so interested in looking at the water.

Entertainment

She has been such great entertainment for us with her cute smiles and funny faces.

She is finally able to entertain herself for a little while. The swing is working out great. She can sit up and play with toys. She doesn't even need to be swinging.
